Kalorama: Medical Apps Market Nears Half Billion-Dollars

According to the latest industry data and growth projections, the medical apps market is estimated at $489 million in 2015.

That tidbit comes to us from the team Kalorama Information, which is buoyantly optimistic about the future of the mHealth app business.

While that’s not huge compared to the total app market, the healthcare market research firm says the mhealth apps market was a mere 85 million five years ago.

Kalorama’s report says medical apps are expected to be a fast growing area and one with loyal customers. The finding was made in Kalorama’s report, mHealth Markets Worldwide.

“In terms of revenue, medical apps have grown a tad bit faster than other app categories,” said Bruce Carlson, Publisher of Kalorama Information.¬† “Price and a willing user base are factors.”
