mHealth and Telemedicine Solutions Provider Makes Headway in Canada

mHealth and Telemedicine Solutions Provder Makes Headway in CanadaOn Wednesday, Moseda Technologies Inc. — a technology company focused on developing mobile health and telemedicine solutions for institutional and home healthcare — made a big announcement.

The organization confirms that the company has been issued a Medical Device Establishment License by Health Canada.

If you’re not familiar, the license allows the Company to import Class III medical devices and distribute them within Canada.

“Obtaining a Medical Device Establishment License is one of the key steps towards adoption of our healthcare software. The ability to access software market share through the sale of already commercialized devices is a major component of our go-to market strategy,” said Nicolas Murray, CEO of Moseda. “We have seen growing demand for mHealth and telemedicine solutions from private and public institutions in order to reliably support remote patient monitoring programs. mHealth and telemedicine technology allow for more efficient, convenient and potentially more cost effective delivery of care. Offering patients and physicians reliable health devices to perform routine check-ups and health assessments remotely is a key factor in determining the long-term success of such programs.”

According to a statement to the media, the company is in negotiations with an international pharmaceutical and medical device company to become a reseller of their device in Canada. Pending procurement of devices the Company plans to launch sales in Q4-2015.
