This morning, Apple will host its first media event of 2015 to give Apple Watch one final push before its imminent launch.
In fact, this morning’s event may be almost exclusively about the eagerly anticipated wearable.
“Apple will likely do one last demo and give us all the pricing tiers and release date information we’ve been wanting for in the last 5 or 6 months we’ve known about the product,” tech blogger Kendall Briar tells our sister site MMW.
Although the Apple Watch hasn’t even been released yet, sales estimates for the device continue to climb. Most recently, Keith Bachman of BMO Capital told investors that his firm believes Apple could sell approximately 19 million Apple Watch units this year.
“We remain bullish on the Apple Watch, though we think momentum will take some time to build, since we think applications will need to be created to capture the opportunity,” Bachman explained in a research note to investors late last week. “We project Apple will sell 19 million Watch units in CY15, with more than 10 million units in the December quarter.”
Apple’s media event will be live streamed to iOS and Mac devices this morning through Apple’s main website.
