The individual formerly in charge of 4G strategy at O2 has been tapped to become the operator’s managing director for its health and social care department.
Before leading O2’s 4G strategy team to new heights, Nikki Flanders (pictured on right) was a formidable leader at various retailers and health-related charities.
According to published reports out of the U.K., O2’s health and social care arm “develops mobile health solutions including lone worker products and UC solutions for hospitals and other care environments.”
With mHealth growing at a considerable rate across Europe, the appointment of top talent into this key role at O2 doesn’t come as a great surprise to anyone.
“I’m delighted to be joining O2 Health and build on the fantastic work to date,” Flanders said this week. “I passionately believe we can make a huge difference to people’s health and care while supporting clinicians and carers, through technology innovation.”
“I have first-hand experience of how technology can empower people with health conditions and those who care for them – and have a vision for O2 Health that reflects this,” she added.
