For 2017, the OAC welcomes Scott Kahan, MD; Nikki Massie, MA; Patty Nece, JD; and Rob Portinga as new members of the OAC National Board of Directors.

The Board is responsible for directing the organization and its activities, setting long-term goals for the association and ensuring that all programs and initiatives are in the interest of individuals affected by obesity.

“Throughout the past year as Chairwoman of the OAC, I’ve seen significant growth in this organization. The addition of these new members to the Board will help us continue to guide the organization and represent the millions of Americans impacted by obesity,” said Amber Huett-Garcia, MPA, OAC Chairwoman.

As a non-profit organization, the OAC is governed under the authority of a National Board of Directors. All members of the OAC’s National Board are volunteers.
