First Look: Diabetes Data Platform Leader Glooko Raises $35 Million in Series C

Glooko, a leader in diabetes data management, has announced $35 million in new funding to accelerate growth, expand international presence, and deepen expertise in data analytics.

This round was led by Georgian Partners, a Toronto-based investor focused on applied analytics and machine learning.

Other new investors include Insulet Corporation and Mayo Clinic who join existing investors Canaan Partners, Social Capital, Medtronic and Samsung NEXT in the round.

Glooko Gets Props for Latest IntegrationGlooko Inc. has just announced the integration of activity, weight, and blood pressure data from leading wearable activity and biometric monitors such as Fitbit, iHealth, Jawbone, Moves, RunKeeper, Strava, and Withings,  into its mobile, software service diabetes remote monitoring and population management platform.

Data can be “correlated and visualized against the verified blood glucose readings that Glooko currently liberates from more than 30 popular blood glucose meters using its MeterSync Blue technology.”

Asante, Glooko Team to Make Diabetes Management a 'Snap'This week, Asante Solutions Inc., manufacturer of the Snap Insulin Pump, is heralding the company’s new partnership with Glooko.

Glooka is the fast-growing developer of a popular mobile platform for diabetes management.

As a result of the coupling, the Snap pump will now be compatible with the Glooko System.

The partnership will allow all Snap users to add their pump data into Glooko’s cloud-based mobile logbook application for smartphones. With the Glooko system, clinics and Snap users will be able to more quickly and easily track and manage their blood glucose levels as well as other key data including insulin dosage, food/carbs, and exercise.
