That seems to be the new opinion of The American Academy of Pediatrics when it comes to mobile device usage among children.

“A new study,” USA Today reports, suggests  that nearly “one in four parents is using a mobile device to put their young children — sometimes their very young children — to sleep.”

No Kidding Around, Majority of U.S. Parents Monitor Their Children's Online Activity, Says Family Online Safety InstituteWhat are all those kids doing online? Inquiring parents want to know.

That’s the key takeaway from a recent report by the Family Online Safety Institute. Its research shows that 55 percent of parents of children between the ages of six and 17 monitor their kids’ online activity “very closely.”

“The majority of U.S. children and teens under 18 have access to some sort of digital device,” noted eMarketer in a post about the report. “And while these digital natives know their way around a range of devices, it doesn’t mean their parents aren’t keeping close watch.”
