Monarchy Ventures has just announced that it has acquired the worldwide marketing rights to a health and fitness app called 60K which is currently under development for iPhone, Android, tablets and desktop computers.

While seniors tend to be in a demographic where the use of mobile apps and mobile health tools is low, recent AARP research shows that it is not due to the lack of desire. AARP conducted a study with close to 100 elderly participants, who were given mobile activity and sleep tracking devices to use for a 6 week period.
The survey completed at the end of the study and highlighted in recent days by Health IT Outcomes, showed that 77% of the participants found their mobile tools to be useful. On top of that, nearly half found that the tools encouraged them to be healthier and more active.
