A new study released by B2X, a leading provider of customer care for smart mobile and Internet of Things (IoT) devices, found that global consumers’ dependence on their smartphones continues to grow, while they also rapidly adopt a new generation of IoT devices.

“Accordingly, consumers continue to pay more and more for their smartphones, and fast and easy access to customer care continues to be the #1 criteria for consumer satisfaction,” the report summary reads.

Millennials No Shot in the Arm for Affordable Care ActMillennials. They were supposed to be a gold mine for the Affordable Care Act (ACA, or “ObamaCare”) — the young, healthy ones whose cost of care would be less than older generations, but whose participation would help make the system solvent.

But how do millennials feel about the ACA? Meh.

A new eMarketer report, “Healthcare Marketing to Millennials: Reaching Digital Natives in the Age of the Affordable Care Act,” indicates these young doyens of the digital age are “often frustrated by what they perceive as an opaque and outdated “analog” system of care.”

How The Healthcare Industry Can Reach More Millennials OnlineWhile there are now many leading healthcare related websites that are designed to support healthy living, most are not doing an adequate job of reaching Millennials.

When it comes to web browsing habits, Millennials expect information to be fast and easy to obtain. As for most health-centric websites, they lack the speed and efficiency that Millennials gravitate toward.

An excellent example of the healthcare industry not successfully connecting to Millennials is the HealthCare.gov website. Millward Brown Digital estimates that 56.8 million Americans visited this website within the first seven days of going live. Another 3.2 million began the registration process, however, only 1.01 million successfully registered online.
