MHW learned today that MuleSoft — provider of a top platform for building application networks — has announced that Mount Sinai Health System — an integrated health system committed to providing distinguished care, conducting transformative research and advancing biomedical education — is using Anypoint Platform™ to unlock a complete view of patient health history across different digital channels, improving care while reducing costs.

The Mount Sinai Health System, one of New York City’s largest integrated delivery system, is creating an interoperable health data platform in which traditional care providers can access critical patient data and exchange insights with non-traditional care providers, such as a care workers and community organizations.

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Mount Sinai Health System Mark Milestone

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and the Mount Sinai Health System announced Thursday that they have taken another step forward in their 18-month-old alliance with the official opening of their Fetal Medicine Program and the affiliation of the Mount Sinai Children’s Heart Center with the Cardiac Center at CHOP.

Officials from both hospitals participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony this week at the new facility at The Mount Sinai Hospital’s Annenberg Building.

“The Fetal Medicine Program will offer access to an unprecedented scope of services,” reads a statement provided to MHW. “This program provides mothers carrying fetuses at risk for or identified with possible anomalies a ‘one-stop experience’ that includes a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and consultation.”

Mount Sinai Health System Launches Platform to Prescribe Apps to Patients

rxu_digital-medicine-toolkitOn Thursday, researchers in the Sinai App Lab at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai have developed what’s called “RxUniverse,” the first enterprise-wide digital medicine care delivery system that lets physicians digitally prescribe “evidence-based mobile health applications” to patients at the point of care.

Why this offering and why now?

With countless mobile health apps available to consumers, there is no standardized method for providers to know which ones will clinically benefit their patients, and no way for them to share them with patients directly.
