MTBC Touts Success of Electronic Health Record, talkEHR


MTBClogomHealthWatch has learned that MTBC — a leading provider of proprietary, cloud-based electronic health record, practice management and mHealth solutions — has new success to tout.

The company says that its voice-enabled EHR platform, talkEHR, has achieved 2015 Edition ONC Health IT certification as a Health IT Module.

The 2015 Edition Certification Program supports a “diverse health IT system, including but not limited to electronic health record (EHR) technology, and crosses the care continuum to include a broader range of care settings.”

Health IT certification criteria in the ONC Health IT 2015 Edition Certification Program enhance privacy and security capabilities, improve patient safety and interoperability and improve upon the reliability and transparency of certified Health IT.

MTBC’s Apple Watch app extends key components of its electronic prescribing app for iPhone users, known as MTBC iRx, to the Apple Watch.

Users of the Apple Watch app can view patient refill request alerts and inbound patient communications on the watch and then leverage iRx to authorize refills, write new prescriptions, access patients’ medication histories and clinical support decision tools, and more.

MTBC Plans to Show Off New mHealth Apps at HIMSS13


MTBC announced Thursday that it will be showcasing its new mHealth applications at the upcoming HIMSS13 Annual Conference and Exhibition.

HIMSS13 gets underway March 3rd in New Orleans.

The applications promised are being billed as the latest additions to MTBC’s fully integrated platform, which is leveraged by physicians throughout the United States.
