The company’s latest acquisition was for Ziosoft, a startup with a focus on 4D and 5D medical imaging and analytics.  The company’s technology is already in use across 2,000 medical installations in Japan and was a favorable target for NantWorks for its supercomputing software architecture.

Vodafone Partners With NantWorks on Mobile Healthcare R&D, Remote Monitoring Tech   Vodafone Xone Vodafone remote patient monitoring R&D patient monitoring NantWorks mobile R&D mobile healthcare mobile health R&D mobile health mHealth healthcare startups Dr. Patrick Soon Shiong Vodafone, one of the world’s largest mobile communications companies with more than 382 million customers worldwide, has partnered with a company called NantWorks for mobile healthcare R&D at Vodafone’s new “Vodafone Xone,” the company’s new Silicon Valley-based R&D center.

The two companies have signed an agreement to work together on “mobile health services over advanced wireless networks to deliver patient care remotely, as well as explore expansion into other areas,” according to a press release issued today.  Vodafone’s recently opened Silicon Valley office focuses on “identifying and qualifying innovative technologies from startups, R&D labs, universities and venture capital portfolios,” and chose NantWorks as its inaugural partner.
