NewYork-Presbyterian and Walgreens Announce Telemedicine Collaboration


NewYork-Presbyterian and Walgreens are collaborating to bring convenient access to NewYork-Presbyterian’s world-class care through new telemedicine services, now available through Walgreens digital properties and at self-service kiosks at select Duane Reade drugstores in New York.

NewYork-Presbyterian, New York’s No. 1 hospital, is offering the telemedicine services as part of its NYP OnDemand suite of digital health services.

“We are delighted to work with Walgreens to bring NewYork-Presbyterian’s world-class care right to your neighborhood drugstore with this exciting new platform,” said Dr. Steven J. Corwin, president and CEO of NewYork-Presbyterian. “Patients can expect to receive focused, one-on-one care from leading physicians, where and when they need it. We believe telemedicine has a critical role to play in expanding access to high-quality care, and we are proud to be at the forefront of digital healthcare delivery.”

NewYork-Presbyterian Named New York’s Top Hospital By U.S. News & World Report


This morning, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital — one of the largest and most comprehensive academic medical centers in the nation — is ranked New York’s No. 1 hospital for the 17th consecutive year (and No. 8 in the United States).

This distinction came in the published report from U.S. News and World Report’s annual survey of “Best Hospitals,” published online this morning.

The hospital has been once again included in the prestigious Honor Roll, which recognizes national excellence in multiple specialties.

NewYork-Presbyterian Launches Digital Health Platform


NewYork-Presbyterian Launches Digital Health PlatformNewYork-Presbyterian announced this week the rollout of NYP OnDemand, a new suite of digital health services designed to improve and expand patient care, while also extending access to the clinical expertise of NewYork-Presbyterian’s physicians to their peers throughout the Hospital’s vast healthcare network.

That was the announcement shared with MHW via email on Tuesday morning.

If you’re not familiar, NewYork-Presbyterian is one of the largest medical institutions in the nation “and the only one on this scale to implement an enterprise-wide, comprehensive digital health portfolio.”

The project was catalyzed by the visionary support of Rita E. and Gustave M. Hauser, NewYork-Presbyterian’s longtime philanthropic partners. This most recent gift builds on the couple’s previous investments in telehealth infrastructure, further elevating the Hospital’s ability to connect patients and clinical staff in new and innovative ways.
