First Look: EverythingBenefits Taps HealthiestYou by Teladoc


EverythingBenefits, a provider of comprehensive, next-generation benefits technology solutions and services, announced this week its agreement with Teladoc, Inc., the world’s largest and most trusted telehealth provider, to integrate their HealthiestYou’s solution within the EverythingBenefits platform.

This represents the first third-party integration into the EverythingBenefits suite of benefits technology products. As a result, EverythingBenefits’ growing partner distribution network of human capital management (HCM) platforms, payroll service bureaus, benefits brokers and third-party administrators will have access to the Teladoc HealthiestYou telehealth solution and expand their value offering to existing and prospective clients.

If you’re not familiar, HealthiestYou connects patients with board-certified physicians through phone calls, video chats and the award-winning HealthiestYou app to get resolution to their general medical needs, such as cold and flu, upper respiratory infections, pink eye and more.

UnitedAg Expands Relationship with Teladoc


Teladoc Services Enter New MarketTeladoc, Inc. has just announced that UnitedAg has expanded the telehealth benefits for its 35,000 insured members to include coverage for behavioral health, dermatology and smoking cessation.

With strong utilization across Teladoc’s wide array of general health services, along with a high percentage of repeat telehealth visits, UnitedAg “sees significant value in providing these additional services to its members,” today’s announcement reads.

“A big part of the value equation that we offer our members and their families is access to cost-effective, high-quality care through Teladoc,” said Kirti Mutatkar, president and CEO of UnitedAg. “Since we joined Teladoc in July 2015, our members have continued to use and rely on their telehealth benefits, so the choice to further expand this relationship is a logical one.”

Teladoc Services Enter New MarketTeladoc, Inc. has just set a new company record.

According to the telehealth giant, the record was set during the month of November with a total of 101,600 patient visits.

The impressive milestone was fueled by an increase in utilization among existing members, along with new members and expanded clinical services.

Per the company’s release on the matter, the American Telemedicine Association (ATA) predicted the telehealth industry to record a total of 1.25 million visits in 2016, and Teladoc is accounting for significant growth in the market as demonstrated by its new record monthly visit volume.

Teladoc CMO Named to National Quality Forum Telehealth Committee


Teladoc Services Enter New MarketTeladoc, Inc., a leader in telehealth, has just announced that Henry DePhillips, chief medical officer, has been named to the newly formed National Quality Forum (NQF) Telehealth Multi-stakeholder Committee.

The news was shared with mHealthWatch on Monday.

If you’re not familiar, NQF leads national collaboration to improve health and healthcare through measurement and other quality innovation initiatives.

Leveraging his experience driving clinical quality initiatives at Teladoc, Dr. DePhillips will work closely with the multi-stakeholder NQF committee to establish a structure for measuring the quality of telehealth encounters and to identify existing and potential metrics that could be used to evaluate the quality of telehealth services.

Teladoc, American Red Cross Bring Telehealth to Disaster Victims


New Red Cross App Aims to Increase Donor Frequency With Retail RewardsOn Wednesday, The American Red Cross and Teladoc, Inc. announced a partnership to deliver remote medical care to communities in the United States that are significantly affected by disasters.

“This is the first telehealth provider partnership for the Red Cross. Teladoc is the nation’s first and largest telehealth provider,” a media release reads.

Through this pilot collaboration, Teladoc will make its network of physicians available to people helped by the Red Cross whose access to health care providers has been limited or is unavailable after large-scale disasters.
