Solera Health and WellDoc Announce Partnership

Solera Health, an integrated benefit network, and WellDoc, a leading digital therapeutic company, announced this week that WellDoc’s BlueStar digital therapeutic will join the Solera network as a diabetes management solution of choice.

Voluntis and WellDoc Announce innovative Partnership

MHW learned this week that Voluntis and WellDoc — two of the industry’s leading digital therapeutics companies — have inked a commercial agreement aimed at combining Voluntis’ insulin titration technology with WellDoc’s extensive digital coaching platform to create a holistic digital diabetes management solution for patients, providers, health systems and health plans.

From the official word emailed to MHW:

Voluntis developed Insulia, an FDA-cleared, prescription-only digital companion for people and their care teams using basal insulin to treat type 2 diabetes. It provides automated basal insulin dose recommendations for people with type 2 diabetes while enabling the health care team to remotely monitor progress.

The developer of BlueStar® – an FDA-cleared, digital therapeutic for individuals with type 2 diabetes – WellDoc is the first digital health company in the US to conduct randomized clinical trials that demonstrate significant clinical outcomes, as published in multiple peer-reviewed journals and presented at leading industry conferences. The clinical evidence shows a 1.7 to 2.0-point mean A1C reduction for individuals living with type 2 diabetes who used BlueStar.

WellDoc Validates Potential of Its Digital Therapeutic BlueStar

WellDoc, a leading digital health company, announced today that its “clinically proven” hemoglobin A1C reductions for users of its BlueStar digital therapeutic with type 2 diabetes can translate into significant healthcare cost savings.

Truven Health Analytics®, part of the IBM Watson Health™ business, conducted an analysis for WellDoc using the MarketScan® Research Databases, a family of research data sets that fully integrate de-identified patient-level health data, productivity, laboratory results, health risk assessments, hospital discharges, electronic medical records (EMR) and morbidity data into data available for healthcare research. Data are contributed by large employers, managed care organizations, hospitals, EMR providers, and Medicare and Medicaid programs. Findings are based on an analysis of commercial and Medicare consumers within the MarketScan Databases.

WellDoc and the Healthy Trucking Association of America Partner to Address Diabetes in Trucking Industry

Biotech Veteran Named New President of WellDocDigital health leader WellDoc and the Healthy Trucking Association of America (HTAA) announced their partnership to help truckers living with diabetes.

The development also corresponds with the news that WellDoc unveils its consumer diabetes health app, BlueStar C, which is designed to aid individuals living with diabetes to manage their chronic condition.

Both organizations, through this initial launch, will introduce BlueStar C to truckers and fleets at the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) in Louisville, Kentucky, which takes place from March 23-25.

WellDoc, Samsung and Ontario Telemedicine Network Focusing on Canadian DiabeticsRecently, the team at digital health technology company WellDoc announced the launch of an innovative demonstration program with Samsung Electronics in Ontario, Canada through the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN).

According to a statement to the media from WellDoc, the goal of the program is to demonstrate the clinical and economic value of integrating a clinically proven self-management tool and lifestyle tracking into the type 2 diabetes treatment standard of care.

The program will include a minimum of 300 people living with type 2 diabetes who will receive a prescription of BlueStar-S from their healthcare provider.
