FIRST LOOK: InDemand Interpreting Strategically Partners with Yorktel

MHW learned today that InDemand Interpreting, a technology-enabled medical interpreting company, today announced a partnership with Yorktel, a global provider of video cloud and managed services for healthcare customers. The partnership will enable easy access to medically qualified interpreters through Yorktel’s Univago HE telehealth platform using secure, multipoint virtual meeting rooms.

InDemand partners with healthcare organizations nationwide to bridge the communication gap between limited English proficient (LEP), Deaf and hard of hearing patients (HOH) and their clinicians. InDemand immediately connects healthcare professionals to medically qualified interpreters 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in more than 200 languages, including American Sign Language (ASL) and Certified Deaf Interpreters (CDIs).

Yorktel Univago HE is a fully managed subscription-based service comprised of everything needed to connect patients by video with remote clinicians, healthcare experts and family members. The platform allows for additional participants to join a patient consult through the click of a button, whether additional clinicians, family members or a medically qualified interpreter. This partnership enables InDemand to expand its goal of anytime, anywhere access to medically qualified interpreters in any clinical setting.

Yorktel Touts Removal of ‘Historic Barriers’ to Telemedicine Adoption

On Tuesday, Yorktel unveiled what it calls Univago Healthcare Edition (Univago HE) — a “transformative addition to its enterprise video services platform, built specifically for healthcare.”

Yorktel recently announced that its mobile telehealth kit, FeatherMed has won the MedTech Breakthrough Award for “Best Overall Telehealth Solution.”

MedTech Breakthrough, if you’re not familiar, is an independent organization that recognizes the top companies, technologies and products in the global health and medical technology market.
