Cutting edge mobile technology is doing more than just keeping us entertained and organized. It’s also keep us safe.
The team behind Breathometer, Inc., for example, have found success in their commitment to safety.
Their innovation is called the Breathometer – the “World’s Smallest Smartphone Breathalyzer.” It’s a portable device that connects to your smartphone and comes with an easy-to-use app that estimates blood alcohol level
The Breathometer will begin shipping to consumers this month. And it will do so having just made TV history.
For the first time, the five Sharks on ABC’s reality pitch show saw a business that was so exciting they all jumped in together and invested $1 million in Breathometer, a startup that makes a breathalyzer that plugs into a smartphone.
“Founder and CEO Charles Michael Yim had already raised $1 million for the business and wanted to raise another million, starting with $250,000 from the Sharks for a 10% equity stake,” Business Insider reported this week.
“Breathometer is a valuable tool for anyone that consumes alcohol, no matter where they are, such as a dinner party, sporting event, or a bar with friends,” Yim says. “With its compact design and affordable price, Breathometer is bringing an extremely accessible smartphone breathalyzer to the mass market for the first time and allowing anyone who drinks, and their friends and family, to make smarter and safer choices.”
