When it Comes to Mobile Communications, Healthcare Industry is Behind the Times

When it Comes to Mobile Communications, Health Industry is Behind the TimesMobile communications technology has dramatically changed for the better how a myriad of industries function and perform.

But the healthcare industry’s adoption of mobile tech is lagging that of other industries. And the time has come to change this reality. That’s according to a new report from Frost & Sullivan.

“There is a clear need for advanced data management and communication systems that can address existing communication challenges in hospitals,” reads the report summary.

Frost & Sullivan’s latest research into the deployment of mobile communications in healthcare is contained in the report titled “Secure Mobile Communication Market in Healthcare Industry.”

“Today’s mobile computing platforms present a powerful set of technical capabilities that, if leveraged properly, can help improve the efficiency of day-to-day operations of literally any type of organization,” the report authors argue, pointing to outdated forms of communications as a major laggard for the healthcare industry in 2014.
