mHealthWatch learned Tuesday that Ziegler, a boutique healthcare investment bank and full-service brokerage firm, can now confirm that Grant Chamberlain, Managing Director in Ziegler’s Corporate Finance Healthcare Practice, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the American Telemedicine Association (ATA).
“I’m honored to join this elite group of individuals,” Chamberlain is quoted in a provided statement. “The ATA’s dedication in deploying telemedicine throughout the world is not only inspiring but also commendable. I am eager to begin advancing this great cause.”
Other officers elected include President-Elect Peter Yellowlees, professor of psychiatry at UC Davis; Vice President Andrew Watson, MD Medical Director of Telemedicine at UPMC; and Alexis Gilroy, Partner at Jones Day as Secretary Treasurer. Incoming Board members include Randall Moore, MD, MBA, President of Mercy Virtual; and Laurie Poole, Vice President, Telemedicine Solutions at the Ontario Telemedicine Network.
A provided statement notes that Chamberlain has over 20 years of investment banking experience. He has advised several of the most innovative mHealth companies, including AirStrip, MDLive and Voalte along with some of the leading healthcare systems, including Baylor Health, Cedars-Sinai and Sharp Healthcare.
