For a health care technology company that experienced 69 percent revenue growth in 2016, a new website – www.1800md.com – should only improve access to quality medical care 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year for its members.
That’s the announcement shared with MHW ahead of the weekend from executives of 1.800MD LLC. The company is talking up its freshly launched and easy-to-navigate telehealth platform making access simple and more efficient for individuals, families, employers and groups.
The Charlotte-based business has board-certified physicians in all 50 states who can diagnose and treat common ailments through the convenience of a telephone or digital communications. In the last year, the company’s telehealth consultations grew by 135 percent along with a 75 percent increase in client base.
“In the past year, 1.800MD has experienced tremendous growth in large part to our customer service,” says Andy Jacobson, founder and chief executive officer of 1.800MD. “Customer service is a cornerstone of our success and has allowed us to retain more than 97 percent of our in-force clients as well as win new clients through referrals.”
“The new platform and mobile app is an extension of our customer service commitment,” Jacobson adds. “It will provide consumers with access to fast, convenient care for minor medical matters from the flu to allergies to urinary tract infections, while delivering better tools for physicians and employers.”
