Physicians Now Have a Tool to Help Them Determine The Best Health Apps for Their Patients

Physicians Now Have a Tool to Help Them Determine The Best Health Apps for Their PatientsWhile there are thousands of fitness and healthcare apps to choose from today, the selection is overwhelming for both patients and physicians alike. While the vast majority of physicians can agree that apps have the potential to be beneficial, most are too unfamiliar with the current apps on the market to refer a patient to a specific app with confidence. It is for this reason that AppScript was developed.

AppScript was developed by Quantia, Inc., the Physician Engagement Platform, and IMS Health. The platform not only helps healthcare professionals evaluate and determine the best mobile apps and mobile technology for their patients, but physicians can purportedly rest assured that the mobile products they prescribe are referred by a responsible and trusted source.

This new platform has the potential to have a major impact on healthcare mobile apps and technology if only because Quantia boasts over 30% of all U.S. physicians as registered and regular users.

“QuantiaMD is designed to help physicians make better clinical decisions for their patients,” says Dan Malloy, executive vice president of Quantia. “We are thrilled to be partnering with AppScript, which will offer our active physician community easy access to a suite of over 65,000 healthcare-specific apps, backed by an organization they can trust. We believe members of our physician community – over half of which visit QuantiaMD from a mobile device – will understand and appreciate the value AppScript will bring to their practice, and to the health of the patients they serve.”
