Diversinet Appoints Two Military Healthcare IT Experts to its Advisory Board

Diversinet, a provider of secure mobile communication solutions for the healthcare industry, announced the appointment of two experts in healthcare technology issues and applications related to the United States Department of Defense (DoD) to its advisory board.

The first of which is Dr. Hon Pak, previous President of the American Telemedicine Association and recently retired Chief Information Officer of the U.S. Army Medical Department, Office of the Surgeon General.  The second appointment is Frederick J. Hannett, a Washington-based consultant and healthcare IT thought leader with longstanding ties to the DoD, as well as founder and Managing Principal of The Capitol Alliance.

mHealth App Maker AirStrip Gains Military/Government Healthcare IT Expert As Senior Adviser

AirStrip Technologies, a Texas-based provider of mobile medical software applications, announced today that it’s added Dr. Hon S. Pak, a healthcare IT leader with more than two decades of industry experience, as the company’s senior advisor.

This is a big deal for AirStrip as Dr. Pak has a long unique history in the healthcare IT industry.  Most recently, he served as CIO in the US Army Medical Department’s Office of the Surgeon General.  In this role, Dr. Pak was responsible for the design, deployment, training and sustainment of all clinical information systems — a demanding role to say the least, as the Military Healthcare System delivers healthcare services to more than 9.2 million patients globally.
